General Information Eastside's Fitness Center will meet your needs with a wide selection of programs and professional supervision. We provide cardiovascular exercise, weight loss and strength training, endurance and flexibility. Your first visit will be an individual fitness consultation and orientation to the gym. This examination will pinpoint safe exercise guidelines prior to you initial visit. Appointments are made for your first workout in the gym, where you will become acquainted with the equipment and your program. Visits to the center in the following weeks will focus on your workout. Two to three visits a week are recommended for ideal maintenance and conditioning. If you ever have any questions regarding the proper technique or if you wish for additional training, consult the fitness center trainers. |

Fitness Assessment As part of your personal training, we are pleased to offer a complete fitness assessment and evaluation. Your fitness assessment is designed to help evaluate your current fitness level in these key areas: resting pulse and blood pressure, cardiovascular/aerobic capacity, flexibility, muscular strength, muscular endurance, and body fat. Your fitness assessment will establish a baseline from which health and fitness improvements can be measured. A complete report and recommendations for optimum health will be created for you. Attire Make sure that you wear comfortable clothing for all fitness classes. Sweats, workout leggings and top, or shorts and t-shirt are common. Good shoes are essential, and we strongly recommend aerobic shoes for class that include an aerobic workout. You shoes must be white soled or "scuff proof". Please bring you fitness shoes with you, as opposed to wearing them, to prevent small pebbles and dirt from ruining the equipment or scratching the floor in the exercise room. |
